After a 25-year drag racing career that included pro stock, fuel funny car and alcohol funny car, I started building awnings in 1998. While I was racing the one thing I found annoying about the awnings I put up was the "erector set mentality", pieces all had to be numbered, fitting only one way, it usually took a hammer to get some of the pieces to fit. It was a mess.
When I began building awnings I decided most importantly my awnings would be easy to assemble. All my awning components are CNC machined. The pieces are equal length; all the holes are in the same place. Stuff Fits!
I have built awnings for trailers as large as 53-feet long eighteen wheelers and as small as 24-feet motorcycle trailers.
As a former racer I also understand if you need an awning to clear the wing of a dragster or the hood of a super stocker. I have had more than one customer call and tell me how satisfied they were and how they didn't have to "massage" my awnings to get them to fit. I am as proud of that
as I would have been a low ET.
